On January 1, 2024, our Managing Director and founder Matthias Boltze took back 100% of the shares in the company he founded in September 2010 as new enerday GmbH. In a second step, Sunfire Fuel Cells GmbH has now been renamed new enerday GmbH.

The successful connection between Sunfire and new enerday will continue in the new constellation. Both companies will continue their cooperation in the field of technology development and component procurement and can thus benefit from technological synergies.

Sunfire CEO Nils Aldag explained: “By splitting the company structures, both sides can develop their organizations more effectively to meet the challenges of their respective markets. We at Sunfire are now devoting our resources entirely to our electrolysis projects and the further development of our pressurized alkali and high-temperature SOEC electrolysers. In Neubrandenburg, new enerday is focusing on its business with technologically first-class fuel cell devices. We wish the team all the best!”

Matthias Boltze, managing director of new enerday, adds: “There will be no noticeable changes for our customers – warranties, service etc. will remain the same. We are highly motivated to drive our fuel cell business forward and look forward to continuing to work with our partners.”
